Send Flowes Next Christmas

I talked about this on my Mona's blog but I thought I would mention it here too. My mother-in-law got a beautiful Christmas bouquet from her neighbors for Christmas. I though this was a wonderful idea and might end up sending flowers next Christmas. If I have the budget for it that is. I love flowers but don't get them very often because I also don't like it when my husband spends money on flowers. I know it's kind of backwards but that just the way I am.
One of these days I hope we are at the financial point that I don't have to worry about spending too much on flowers. I may even expect my husband to bringme flowers every weeks. Well I don't know about every week but maybe a few times a year. I don't know if I will change that much even with a looser budget. It would also be nice to send flowers to my mother one of these days when the money is available.

My Newest Blog- SuperMom Life

I haven't yet started my new blog but basically it will be my personal blog with more tips for making money online and life in general. It's going to be a Wordpress blog so I will be able to categorize things better. I am excited about this new blog. I am always excited about my new blogs and I am not sure why because that means I have to think of more content.
Actually the SuperMomLife.com blog will be replacing the MomsOpNet.blogspot.com. I am actually thinking about redirecting the Moms Opportunity Network homepage to this new blog for a time. I figure that momsopnet net visitors would get more from the blog than the old site. I am starting my link building so here is the SuperMom Life link. I won't actually have the site up for at least a couple of days.

Earn Money Blogging with Blogkits

Blogkits is an excellent tool for bloggers who want to make money with their blog. I joined the Blogkits affiliate program because I thought it would be a great way to utilize affiliate marketing but without having to keep up with the latest sales and promotions. Blogkits offers publishers (bloggers) text links and banners to place on their blog. Each time someone clicks on the link to purchase products or services from the affiliate (such as Starbucks and Zappos) the blogger earns a percentage of the sale.
Why would you want to use Blogkits and share a percentage of the affiliate earnings? The way I see it is that Blogkits is for those who either don't have affiliate marketing knowledge or for people like me that don't want to take time out of my already busy schedule and find the sales and promo links. I also like the fact they they use text like "Support this blog." in the ads.
Using Blogkits doesn't mean that I will stop using my own affiliate links it just is another easy to use tool for generating an income.

Dental Work

It's time for me to find a dentist and I am dreading it. I know I need dental work but I don't particuluarly like dentists. I usually get the lecture about how I should go to the dentist more. I know I should but unfortunetly I don't have dental insurance and I end up having to pay hundreds of dollars a visit. So what to do? We have decided not to go into debt so I am going to have to save up money. I am not sure I should wait but I really don't want to borrow money. There is a possibility that my husband will be changing jobs and get dental insurance so I might not have to wait too long. So I guess I will have to decided what to do. I will have to find a good dentist. I hope I can find a good dentist.

If you are interested in promoting products such as e-books for a profit I suggest you check out Click Bank. Click Bank is the Internets leading retailer in digital products. There are thousands of ebooks to choose from. Books from scrapbooking to affiliate marketing. If you have a website promoting an ebook is a very good idea. If you have always wanted to write a book writing an ebook is a great start. You can become a publisher with and decide how much you are willing to pay affiliates for promoting your product.

More about Link Popularity

What is the real purpose of paid blogging? For advertisers seeking companies like Blogitive, paid blogging means better link popularity. Link popularity is said to be one of the best ways for Google to give a site a higher indexing. Google uses link popularity to decide whether you are worthy of being placed first in the search for a specific keyword.
Blogs are unique in that each post a blogger makes is indexed as a seperate page in the search engines. When thousands of links are placed all over the net with the specific keyword and link directed to your site it is likely that the advertisers site will gain a good page rank. Advertisers pay third party companies like Blogitive to provide hundreds or even thousand of bloggers to post articles, reviews about the advertisers product/service/website using the specified keyword required.

Web Color Chart

I found another cool tool. Have you ever just want a quick list of html color codes. I have been using this chart a lot since I found it. This is an easy to use quick tool. This of course is another free tool. I make it a point to find free tools because, well, I am broke. The internet has just about everything you can think of for free if you just take the time to look for it.
Here is a screenshot of Web Color Chart.

A Cool New Wordpress Plugin

I just stumbled accross this wordpress plugin and thought it was really cool. It's a plugin to include a forum inside of your blog. I love this idea! I am so excited about it and I am already using it in my Horse Approved blog. I love tools like this.
This plugin is still in alpha stage but it seems to be pretty stable to me. I did have some trouble with my template but I figured it out and fixed it.
The plugin was completely free of course. I downloaded it from RS Discuss.
This is a very cool tool and highly recommend trying it out.

Building Link Popularity

Over the last few days I have doing a search on today’s best techniques for building link popularity. I focused my search on reputable sites that offered free information. There are some definite do’s and don’ts when it comes to this subject. Since Google doesn’t publish their algo techniques some of the information available are just theories at this point.

It is important to know the definite do’s and don’t so that you don’t accidently fall prey to the “black hat SEO” techniques. Many uninformed people are falling for the link popularity techniques that are robbing their pocket books and possibly hurting their website by risking the possibility of beening banned by Google.

Since I did not become a SEO expert in a few days of research I am not going to try and explain all the good and bad linkbuilding techniques, but I will list a few that are most important.

The do’s:

1. Do find websites that are relevant to your site to link to you.

2. Good content is very important. You can get linked with out even trying.

3. Be sure to submit your site Google, MSN and Yahoo. These are the three main search engines and they won’t index you if you don’t submit your site.

The don’ts:

  1. Don’t use “black hat” SEO techniques like blog spamming and forum spamming. Blog and forum spamming includes posting/commenting only for the purpose of adding your link.

  2. Don’t waist your money on paid directories. There are many free directories available and remember your goal should be to get listed on directories that are relevant to your web site.

These are just a few of the important techniques, I encourage you to read 101 ways to Build Link Popularity in 2006, Link Popularity , and Link Building 101 to find more information and building link popularity. Don’t forget to check your link popularity with this free tool.

Monex Deposit Company

If you are looking to invest in Gold and/or Silver Monex Deposit Company is the place to start. They offer some good reason for investing and tips on how to invest and where to keep your investment.

Here are the 3 Reason's Why they say you should investin precious metals:

1. Precious Metals Have Been a Solid Hedge Against A Declining U.S. Dollar. The value of the U.S. Dollar declined more than 30% from 2001 through 2004, plunging 5% in just a few weeks. For a long list of reasons, including massive increases in U.S. government deficits totaling trillions of dollars, the cost of a prolonged war against terrorism and a massive trade imbalance, this trend may be just the beginning. This means U.S. Dollars could now be worth less and less every day. Which also means that investments pegged to the U.S. Dollar could be worth less and less every day. Gold, silver and platinum, though, are held and traded throughout the world . . . and their true value (that is, their purchasing power) is not solely or directly dependent on the falling fortunes of the U.S. Dollar. Precious metals, therefore, can be a form of protection against a falling U.S. Dollar. As demonstrated during 2003 and 2004, as the value of the U.S. Dollar declined, gold and silver prices and the value of precious metals expressed in dollars increased.

2. Precious Metals Have Been a Proven Safe-Haven in Times of War, Political Strife and Uncertainty. Today's financial markets are increasingly at risk from terrorism, political instability and war. As we saw so clearly after the 9/11 tragedy, financial markets can be closed down, and remain closed down, for extended periods of time. As terrorism incidents continue to increase around the world, it is not unreasonable to expect further (and potentially more severe) disruptions in financial markets, banking and commerce in the future. Whenever and wherever tension or hostilities break out, people everywhere quite naturally gravitate toward the assets they trust most. And today, even in our high-tech driven 21st century, the asset class millions rely on in times of trouble is gold and silver. Precious metals have always been, and likely will continue to be, a valued form of "wealth insurance" in good times and bad.

3.Precious Metals Can Offer Outstanding Price Appreciation and Profit Potential. After the infamous stock market "bubble" debacle in early 2000 wiped out trillions of dollars of investor equity, the major stock indices have failed to return to anywhere close to their previous highs. Gold and silver prices, on the other hand, have increased dramatically - more than 40% - during that same time period. Which means precious metals can produce impressive investment returns even when (and sometimes, especially when) returns from stock, bond and other paper investments decline in value or evaporate completely. The Monex Atlas Account, a way to purchase precious metals using up to 5-to-1 investment leverage, can be a powerful short-term trading vehicle during periods of rapidly changing precious metals prices. And many financial experts have predicted and continue to forecast rising gold, silver and platinum prices in the months and years ahead.

Wallhogs.com

Have your giant sized face plastered on your bathroom wall and when people use your bathroom they will have to stare at your face. Wallhogs can make this dream a reality :o). Ok, I am just having some fun here but I do think having Wallhogs in your house could be cool. You could decorate a kids room. If I were a kid I would have wanted a giant sized picture of my horse on my bedroom door. My son would probably love a picture of one of his bionicles or something.
My husband would probably love it if I would let get something like the picture below put on our bedroom wall. No way will that ever happen.

My new Horse Blog

I am still working on my new horse blog. I am really excited about this one because I like the way it's turning out. I hope to genereate a lot of traffic to this site. I read an e-book that talked about affiliate marketing and the best way to advertise your website. It was very enlightening. I will have to share this in a later post. Anyway, check out my new Horse Approved blog. It's not finished yet but you can still visit it.

Wedding Gifts

Wedding bells are a ringin? Do people actually still say that? I guess they do because I just did. If you are going to have a wedding or know someone who is you might want to check out TheKnot.com. They offer all sorts of wedding related products. TheKnot.com is very well laid out and the have a lot of information about planning for weddings as well as purchase wedding products. They have some nice pictures of people on the site but I don't think they are for sale. You will have to find your own future spouse but if you need anything for the planning this site probably has it.
Don't forget the bridesmaid gifts. After all are going to make them wear that bright pink dress they can never use again.

To the Ebay Powersellers

If you are a ebay powerseller or are thinking about becoming a powerseller you might want to check out Rob Frechette's eBook on Ebay selling. I know there are a lot of people making good money on ebay and I guess this book will let you in on some of the secrets. I am still not sure how I feel about ebay. The fees seem to be getting so high and there are so many products.
I do like to buy on ebay still but I am not sure how I feel about selling anymore. I have sold a lot of stuff on ebay and I never really made that much money but I am sure it is because I didn't know how to get the big bucks. This Ebay ebook may have the answers I am looking for.

Pro Blogger Job Board

I was scrolling through my favorites again and found a link that I had forgotten about. My searching the internet has left me with hundreds of favorites that I don't have categorized very well so a lot gets lost. Anyway, Pro Blogger has a job board that could be useful for someone. I don't think I am qualified for any of these jobs but I thought I would post this for anyone who has never heard of this site.
This is also a great place to post your jobs you want filled.

Fairfield Resorts

If you have been thinking about purchasing a timeshare you might want to check out Fairfield Escapes. This company has introduced more families to timeshare than any other company in the world. There are more than 70 world-class resorts in 21 states in the U.S. 80% of all the Fairfield Resorts has been awarded a "Gold Crown". I remeber a few years back going to one of those timeshare presentation. They promised us a TV. Though the price of the timeshare was reasonable we didn't have the money and just went because of the free TV. Well, when we told them we didn't have the money they said they didn't have anymore TV's. I was a little upset. I don't think this company had very good ethics.
I can't say for certain Fairfield is any different but it seems by the infromationa I have read about them they are professionals.

The Party Works

I found this website called the Party Works and they carry various parties supplies. I think the reason I bookmarked this website was because of the "Build Your Own" discounted party packs. I am always looking for a deal. They carry all different kinds of party supplies like for baby showers, kids parties and cake decorating.
They also have some really cute Do it yourself Cake Decorating kits. If you have any sort of birthday or party coming up you should check out this site.

My Dream Patio

My dream patio is something that will have only exist in my dreams for a while. But it doesn't hurt to dream.
I hope to one day be able to fully landscape my back yard and build a covered patio. My husband and I both love to invite people over but right now we don't a comfortable patio. All we have right now are some bricks laid out side by side so I don't really think you can call it a patio.
The night's hear in our town are beautiful. I would love to be able to host a get together with all our friends sitting by the fire. I would love to have a chiminea but a fire pit would work too. Actually, since this is my dream I want a chiminea. I like the way they look :o). It's also a better way to roast marshmallows.

Someday, I gonna get one of these.

Stock Options

I can't say I really know that much about the stock market. Our financial situation is not even close to the point of investing. I have heard it is best to diversify your investments. A good mixture of investing in Roth IRA's, realestate and mutual funds. That's about all I know.
I suppose I could find stock options advice on the poweropt.com website I was introduced to. They research stocks available and give you detail information. They offer a 14 day free trial of their service.
This is what they claim to offer you if you sign up.

Five reasons why you need PowerOptions®:

Kid's Money

My kids are always complaining about how they don't have money and what they can't buy. Well, mom and dad don't have any money either. I try to encourage them to get jobs here and there from the neighbors but then they turn lazy. " I don't know how" is usually the response, even though I tell them how.
One of my daughter's friends is one of those go getter types. She wanted to take 4 dance classes but here parents didn't have the money. So she decided to use her babysitting money to pay for 2 of the classes and then called her Aunts and asked if they could cover the rest of the classes. She is now taking 4 dance classes because she didn't just sit there and say "I don't know how".
Anyway, I found this site that might help me out and maybe help someone else as well. It's called Kid's Money and it offers a whole lot of information on jobs for kids, how to handle money and tips for parents. I you are struggle with the same type of whinning check out this site.

Cast Iron

I think way back I did a review on cast iron pans. I love cast iron cookware and I think everyone should be using it. I bought my cast iron pan a few years ago and it's what I use the most out of all my cookware. I used to use Teflon but got tired of having to be so delicate with them. Plus I am sure Teflon is not one of the major food groups. I know some of it was getting into my food.
My mother is actually the one that introduced me to cast iron. She had on particular pan for like 20 years. Can't say my Teflon would ever last that long. I am sure I will have my cast iron pan 20 years from now. I have also heard that cast iron is beneficial to your health because the iron that comes off in the food is good for you.
I don't have any stainless steel cookware but I think I would also like it almost as much as cast iron. I have heard good things about stainless steel. Actually come to think of it I do have one little stainless steep pot that I have been using for years. I really like that post because it heats up really quickly.
So don't be like I was and think that you have to buy the newest and latest cookware. The good old cast iron and stainless steel cookware are the best now and probably forever.

Christmas

Some of the best Christmas gifts come in a basket. If you are looking for a gift basket to give this Christmas check out the Gourmet Gift Baskets website. They have some beautiful baskets.
This nice thing about gift baskets is that they come with several items and you are bound to have a few things your gift recipient will love. I really love gingerbread men. So this gift basket would be perfect for me.

There are so many types of baskets you can choose from. They also have cheesecake gifts. I love cheesecake. So if you are having trouble thinking about what to give for Christmas this year maybe a gift basket is your answer.

PPP Dinner Date

PayPerPost has asked us these question: Which PayPerPost employee you would take to dinner and where? What would you order? Would you go someplace after or before? What would you talk about? This opp is one of the reasons I love to get paid to blog.
So I have to think about this one...hmmmm. Do I invite the "Spicy" Hot Tamale? Or maybe The Murphman? Or what about Britt? Froogle? I don't know this is a tough one. If it where a man I would have to bring my husband along because it might looking wrong if I go out on a date with another man. I think he might be a little bothered by that.
Ok, I have decided I would take out the "Spicy" Hot Tamale. Why? Because I think she is funny. After watching her PPP confessional I think I would like to meet her in person. As for the food. It would be up to my guest of course.
I am not sure what we would talk about because she is not married, at least I don't think. I am pretty certain she doesn't have any children. Does she like horses? I don't know, I guess I could find out on our date. Where did she grow up? How did she get the job with PayPerPost? How many brothers or sister? Or maybe we could talk about how many times my baby daughter has pulled poop out of her diaper? (this just happen again) I don't know there are so many things we could talk about.
I like movies. Maybe would could go see a movie after dinner. These are all questions I would have to ask her.
Seeing is how my finances don't even allow me to go on a date with my own husband, PPP would have to drop about 10 opps like this one so I could even take her out on a date. Or are we imagining this is on PPP tab. Because if that is the case then....
well I won't go any further since it's all imaginary. Hot Tamale would you go on an imaginary 'girls night out' date with me?

I'm a diggin

So I finally set up a digg account. I think this will be fun. Just antoher place to network with other people. I do like to network, especially if it brings traffic to my blogs. I am mainly trying to promote my Budget Your Money blog. I think it can help others and hopefully generate a little bit of money. Alot of money would be better but I not going to hope too high. So now that I have a digg account I need to come up with some digg worthy things to say.

AB Lounge 2

I have never had a problem with my weight. I guess I am one of those naturally thin people that people loves to hate. I don't exercise but I also don't eat a lot. My grandmother is also naturally thin so I think I got it from here. My body could change over the years, though I have given birth to three children. I guess time will tell.
For some reason people think because I am thin I must be healthy. I am not sure I am what you would call a healthy person. I don't exercise. I hardly ride my horse anymore. I don't eat health food either.
I have often thought about getting a home exercise product. Many of them are now portable like the ab lounge 2. This ab lounge is to work your abs. It kind of looks like a picnic chair. I like that it is portable though. It's kind of costly for what it is but I suppose if you really use it you could see results.
The thing about most exercises equipment is if you use the product it will usually works. If you set it in your closet to collect dust then there is no way it will do anything for your body. I have a feeling the ab lounge would be sitting in my closet collecting dust. It could work for someone.
I still need to start exercising.

Rock Startup

I am creating a buzz for PayPerPost for free. They have been so great to me and all the other Posties I thought they deserved some free publicity. PayPerPost will soon be launch a new website. I believe they will be taping PayPerPost events and like the upcoming PayPerPost Wedding. This company has some great ideas and I think it will be very sucessful. We are all anxiously waiting for this new site, Rockstartup to launch.

BrainCast

I was introduced to BrainCast and it seems pretty cool. The home page doesn't have much information but if you visit the FAQ's most of your questions will probably be answered. You can record messages/memos from either you phone or from the Internet. The registration was very easy and I can see how this service could be very useful.

BrainCast is intended to be used as a service to help store and organize audio notes from anywhere. Anytime you think of something where you don't have a simple method of writing something down or making a note of it, like at the store, or in the car, or out at night, is an optimal time to use the service. Just call, wait for the beep, record, and it will be home and on your computer when you get there.

It is completely free to use this service. All you have to do is call the 800 number, record a message and and email will be sent to you with your message. I am definitely going to use this service.

Update:
I just called my 800 number and left myself a message. I went to my BrainCast account and listen to my message. It's pretty cool. I could see how using this service could be good for scattered brains like me. Instead of writing notes to myself I could just call myself. I could remind myself of grocery needs or whatnot.

Online University

If you are looking to further you education you might want to explore online school option. I was introduced to a website some time back that offers online courses. Capella University is an accredited online university offering graduate degree programs in business, information technology, education, human services, and psychology. They also offer bachelor's degree programs in business and information technology. Capella also offers 76 graduate and undergraduate specializations and 16 certificate specializations.
Times have changed and attending an university building is no longer a needed. You can get your education right from your home or office. Great part is you can save money on gas and clothes :o).

Using your blog to advertiser your other blogs

I have been using my blog to advertise my other blogs and it's working out really well. I didn't create my blogs to advertise another but I thought since it's there I might as well use them. I have been going crazy with this blogging thing. Crazy, crazy. I now see why advertisers want to use bloggers for advertising. I have done several searches over the last couple of days and often find blogs posts in the Google index. Each blog page is indexed so every time you post it gives your blog more visiblity. I love it! I really already knew this but now I am starting to see more traffic on my blogs so I am excited. My Budget Your Money blog is getting more traffic and that makes me happy because I feel like I can help people with that one.

Everyday Sinks

I was at my brothers new house the other day. He has a nice house in a very nice neighborhood. I especially like their kitchen. Nice big kitchen. They had a good amount of counter space and a nice deep porcelain double sink. I really wish I could have a sink like theirs.
We have a nice sink I guess. Stainless steel sinks, which is what we have, are good but I like porcelain better. I don't know why. Maybe it's because you can make them nice and white. Crazy reason, I know. But I like things that are bright. I would also love to have a stone sink but I don't know if that will work with my decor.
My stainless steel sink isn't deep enough. I wouldn't mind have one a little deeper. Actually if it where deeper I would probably just put more dirty dishes in it, so I don't know if that would be a good thing.
You can find more about sinks at EverydaySinks.com.

Cnet

I have found a number of very useful downloads on cnet. I really like how they give you a good discription as well as reviews. I downloaded a really good web design software called MoreMotion Web Express. It has been compared to some of the big names like Dreamweaver. Not sure I believe it's as good a Dreamweaver but it was completely free to download.
If you are looking for really good software downloads visit cNet first.

Christmas Song

My husband has been in band on and off since we met 15 years ago. He is currently the vocalist of a funk rock band. Last year him and the other 2 band members reunited. It was interesting to see how they just played together so smoothly after so many years (8yrs). They had all matured and perfected their craft.
So I know what it is like for those in the unsigned band world. Trying to get their songs out for everyone to hear. There are some bands that have been able to use the Internet as a platform. Greener's Christmas Song was downloaded over 1,000,000 times a few years back. That's 1 with 6 zero's! I think that is pretty cool. They are trying once again to reach this goal with their new electric and acoustic versions of the songs. A portion of the proceeds will go to Music Industry HIV/AIDS charity LIFEbeat.
The songs are good, I like the acoustic version the best. So help them out! Download the song, it's free. If you like it buy the album and help the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Reviews

I am trying to decide whether to continue this reviews blog. I need to find some kind of order so I am either going to have to stop reviewing or switch to a Wordpress blog. I love Wordpress. It's much more versitle. I don't like that it doesn't have a spell checker. I think I might be able to add that as a plugin though. If you are looking for a good blog software I recommend wordpress. But only if you host it yourself. The Wordpress.com is limiting. You can't use all the cool themes I have found on wordpress.com.

Blogitive

Blogitive has made some exciting new changes. If you are interested in getting garuanteed pay for blogging then becoming a blogger for blogitive may be the answer. You can be paid to write a review of a press release of websites, products and services. The work is easy. I have been doing it for about 4 months. I love getting the payment for the post a week after I submitted. You have to check the offers page everyday because they go quickly. Happy News

Are you tired of hearing all of the horror stories on the news? This is one reason our family no longer has cable TV. If found a site a while back called Happy News. It's real news that is always positive. Our TV news doesn't always tell us the good things that are happening in the world. We get shown death, fighting, hate, rape and everything in between. It's not to say that we shouldn't know about the bad stuff happening in our world but it would be nice if we could see more of the good stuff. After all the happy stories is what changes our moods from hate to love and compassion for others. I think this site is cool so check it out.

PowerJacksOnline

If you are need of replacement Laptop DC Jacks you might want to check out PowerJacksOnline. They provide power jacks for most laptop models. They will install your power jack for $149. The prices for the power jacks start from $15. If you are not familiar with installing power jacks yourself you can send your laptop in for PowerJackOnline to install it for you.
I don't have a laptop but hope to get one soon. I will have to bookmark this site for future reference.

Cooking By Numbers

I think I may have reviewed this site but I thought I would do it again because I think it's really cool. You fill out an online form of what is in your fridge and cupboard. After submitting this information you will get a list of recipes that include they ingredients you have.
Since I have very little in my cupboards I thought this would interesting to see the results. I ended up having 100% of the ingredients for 10 recipes. Some of the recipes where like "fried eggs". But I guess it still is a recipe. I am going to try this again after I go shopping. They also give you recipes for things you have partial ingredients for.

Realty1st.net

My sister lives in Canton Georgia which is some where near Atlanta. She bought her new house a few years ago for a really good deal. Especially compared to CA's real estate. Not too long ago my husband and I were considering moving to Georgia. Since my sister liked it so much and the housing prices where so much lower we thought it might be a good idea. I mean we could have sold our house and bought a bigger on outright and still had money left over. Well, we didn't do it and probably won't. My husband's parents are up there in years and we felt that if we moved away we may not see them as often.
But I was still curious to see what the housing market is doing in that area. I went to a Atlanta area real estate which included Norcross Georgia real estate. If this all on the Realty1st.net site. So I used their property search, which was very easy by the way. I have been on some very unprofessional real estae sites before but this one was very nice. Anyway, I did a search for 3 bedroom houses with prices ranging $50,000 - $300,000 in Canton and I found this house.

Isn't it cute! It looks like a doll house. It doesn't say how many square feet but it has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths for only $119,000. I can't find anything like that her in CA. Even the slums town homes are way more than that. Maybe I should move to Georgia. My sister would love that.

Koozie

Koozie! I like saying that. What is a Koozie you ask? It's a clever product if you ask me and could be a great gift. A personalized koozie is silver plated personalized cooler. It fits a canned beverages like soda. This could come in very handy in my home. I don't always finish my canned soda because it often gets to warm before I finish and I don't like warm soda. I have seen can coolers before but none so fancy :o). This would be a great Fathers Day gift come to think of it. You could have "Dad's the best" engraved on it. Gifts and Otherwise carries these for $19.95 with engraving included.

Cha Cha update

I wrote about Cha Cha human search engine a few days ago and recently found that they have put a halt on inviting new guides. One person said this is because they are getting ready to fold. I requested a invite from a lady I found on wahm.com message board. She email be back and said they are going through some system upgrades and will resume invites sometime in early june. So we will see. I still think I am going to try and become a guide.

Bidnapper

I haven't been ebaying lately. I used to buy and sell stuff on ebay like crazy. I was getting a little frustrated with some of the fees and can be hard to bid on the hot items I usually don't have the kind of money people want to pay for the hot items. I have learned a few things through the years. One thing I learned about bidding on ebay is that you have to be fast at the end of the auction. I also would use uncommon bid amounts like $10.03. I think I have one a few auctions by only a few cents.
According to an article on Bidnapper.com I was doing a good job with my bidding techniques.
Marsha Collier has been using eBay since 1997 and is the author of "Santa Shops on eBay." In an attempt to outbid fellow shoppers, Collier said, make your maximum bid a fractional number. For example, bid $36.01 for that commemorative Elvis plate you've had your eye on. That way, you could win by a hair. Bidding early rarely works, but bidding late — very late — can sometimes be a winning strategy, Collier said. She suggests a technique called "sniping." Open two Internet browser windows just minutes before the auction expires. Ready your bid in one of the windows while refreshing the other to update the countdown clock. With a few seconds to go, hit the "Confirm Bid" button. There are also companies that will automate the bidding process for you for a fee.
Elizabeth Lazarowitz, New York Daily News October, 2006; ‘He's got eBay in his blood’

Bidnapper.com is an interesting site. I never knew this service exsisted until today. They help you win an auction by sniping it in the last seconds of the auction. If winning really matters to you and you are not good at sniping yourself, you can hire your own professional auction sniper. They also offer protection of your username from searches by your competition , changing or deleting your bids without the eBay hassle and holding prices down by not bidding throughout the auction.

Mona's Mall

I can't remember if I already reviewed Mona's Mall. Since it is my website I guess theres no harm is doing it again. I created this site for my family and friends mostly. I wanted a place for them to shop and feel like they are helping our family out. I love affiliate marketing but it does take some effort to get people to shop from your site. Mona's Mall is not completely finished but it is still fully shopable.

Tablet PC Reviews

I guess I am really behind the times because I hadn't heard of a Tablet PC until I was introduced to this reviews site. I feel very out of touch. In case you are like I was and have no idea what a Tablet PC is here is a good description I got from the Microsoft website:

Computers powered by the Windows XP Tablet PC Edition operating system, and equipped with a sensitive screen designed to interact with a complementary pen, are called Tablet PCs. Tablet PCs are fully-functional laptop PCs and more. You can use the pen directly on the screen just as you would a mouse to do things like select, drag, and open files; or in place of a keyboard to handwrite notes and communication. Unlike a touch screen, the Tablet PC screen only receives information from a special pen. It will not take information from your finger or your shirt sleeve—so you can rest your wrist on the screen and write naturally.

By interacting directly with the screen, rather than with a mouse and keyboard, the PC becomes more comfortable and easy to use. There is no need to find a flat space on which to use your PC, nor does a vertical screen become a dividing wall between you and the person with you whom you are meeting. What's more, a Tablet PC can even be used while standing up, which is perfect for professionals on the move such as doctors, foremen, and sales managers.

When I first heard the name Tablet PC's I thought it was a European way of saying Laptop :o). Now that I stand corrected I can find out more about which Tablet PC is the best buy. I think these PC's are really cool and have something else to add to my "I want one!" list. I visited this Tablet PC Reviews site. They offers some very helpful information on finding the best Tablet PC. They also have a helpful support forums.

Template Monster

I found this site will searching for new Word Press thems. They offer some very nice Word Press themes as well as osCommerce, and website themes. I was seriously considering buy a Word Press theme but I found a good free template that I felt I could modify enough. I am still thinking I might purchase a theme in the future. The avearage cost of a Word Press theme is around $52. Not bad for an almost orginal. I mean almost original because they do sell the themes to others at that low price but not very many people have downloaded any one theme. So I consider that an almost original.

Logo Design

I really like this Logo Design site. It is a great site that allows you to create your own logo design online. I tested this out myself and I found it incredibly easy to use. I created a make believe logo in just a few minutes. They allow you to hold the up to 10 logos you have created. Plus they let you email the logo (or possibly the link to the logo) to your friends and family to critique it.
I am a big fan of easy to use services that allow you to try something out before you pay money. Creating the logos using their java script was very easy and quite fun. But I am a nerd when it comes to creating lego designs and such.
You can create a logo for your letterhead or website in minutes for only $99. This site is bookmark worthy.

Bloggeries Blog Directory and Review

I was surfing the net as I do often and found this site. Bloggeries will review blogs upon request (not sure if they do every blog request). They will rate your blog from 1 -10. The reviewer actually gives some very contructive criticism to the blogs he reviews. Bloggeries also has a directory page of all the blogs submitted to this site. I believe you can have your site listed in the directory without having it review. If you are brave enough have your site reviewed please let me know what happens. I am a little chicken.

KeepYouSafe.com

I have never heard of this before. An Online Safe Deposit Box? I suppose when you really think about it an online safety deposit box would be a handy thing to have. There are a few emergencies where online access would be essential. For instance if you were on vacation and your wallet got stolen you could access all the needed information from your vacation spot online. Or maybe your how was destroyed by an earthquake, fire or tornado. It would be a relief knowing your important documents were safe.
More than likely this will soon be a common way to secure important documents. I mean don't we do practically everything online now anyway (banking, shopping, etc)
If you need to access your information all you have to do is log on an download your account numbers or you can even scan copies of the cards you lost. You can get a free small-sized box for one year and can upgrade to a larger permanent box for $3 or more per month.

myLot Update

myLot has recently made some very good changes. I am finally starting to see the potential in this site. It is not a quick way to make money but it is an easy way to make money. The new layout is a cross between Ryze and Myspace. You can also add friends (buddies) and track the posts they make. They also have started a new picture uploading option. The pictures can make you money too but I am not sure why. I have made .25 cents by uploading 3 pictures. I still don't know why they paid me but I won't argue it.

My HP Ad

This is really fun and cool. HP Invent has created a really neat tool to use with your computer. I have dial up Internet so this process took a lot longer than it should have but I finally got to view the video I created a flash video. Let me tell you it's kind of funny. I created my own personal advertisement.
First step in the process was to add a photo 50kb or larger. I selected that I was a Female. Waited for about 20 minutes (because of my extremely slow Internet) for the video to load. After I watched the video I selected what I us my computer for. I was only allow to choose 5 options (pictures, blogs, business, and I forgot the other two). Then I just selected that I want to add the video to my blog and they provided an embedded link. So here it is I hope you enjoy it. By the way it was all free.
You can comment on my flash video at my HP Personal Again.

More Flowers

If you are one of those people that can't get enough flowers you might want to send your loved ones a link to this website. Enter the words "hint, hint" to your email subject. I think I am going to send my husband a "hint, hint" email.
This site also claims to give special care to flowers sent to funerals. They make sure each flower order is verified with the funeral home and insures that the time and other information is verified by calling the sender. I have never had to make funeral arrangements before but I can see how this would be relief. Knowing that the funeral flowers I ordered were actually going to arrive at the right place and on time would ease my mind. Check out this site for more info.

N101 Nutrition

I am seriously considering going through some kind of detox. I don't use drugs, drink alcohol or over use medications but I do sometime feel like a detox would benefit my system. I have heard that we put so much garbage in our systems just with the everyday foods we eat that this in it self is reason enough to do a detox. Most people don't take care of their liver. I am certainly one of those people. I can't say that I am a very unhealthy person but I don't think my health is where is should be.
N101 Nutrition offers Furtureboitcis Detox. This product claims to improve the function of your liver by stimulating and regenerating liver cells. It also can provide antioxidant support. We all know about antioxidants, right?
This site provides just about everything you want to know about the Detox product as well as many other nutritional supplements and beauty products. I really like the information this site gives about all the products they carry. It's always nice to be well informed about a product before buying it.

Update on MyBlogLog

Ok, I think I am liking this MyBlogLog thing. It's much better than I thought. It's kind of like Ryze and Myspace mixed together. You can track who visits your site and who is visiting other's site. The basic service is free but if you want detail track of who is visiting your site you have to pay $3 a month or $25 a year. They give you 3 days to try the Pro version.
It's kind of strange though visiting a website and seeing my face on the MyBlogLog widget. On the other hand it's kind of neat visiting a website and seeing my face. I guess it depends on how I am feeling at the time :o). Here is a screenshot of the way my home page looks like.

Fantasy Football

I never new about Fantasy Football until recently. Boy, are some people really into football. Thankfully my husband is not huge sports fan. I only say this because I grew up with a brother that was really into football. I actually like the sport but only in small doses. Dedicated football fans would of course disagree with me and therefore would really enjoy this Fantasy Football all year long.

So if you are football fan that want to be in the game all year long you should check out this website.

Hello Photo Hosting

Hello is owned by Picasa. Picasa is a free photo editing software. I have been using Picasa for a few years now and never realized I they were also a photo host. I really like Picasa because it allows you to edit and customize with effects like black and white, glow and warmify. They actually have a number of other features as well.
So now that I know that I can use Hello as a photo host I think it will make my life a bit easier. Normally I would edit my photos in Picasa and then upload them to another photo host or my website host. Now all I have to do is click on the Hello button in my Picasa software and it will upload them for me. I love this! And to think I had it all along.

Credit Cards - I hate them!

Credit card companies don't make sense to me sometimes. They make it almost impossible to get pay the debt off. I suppose this is what they want to happen. You forever paying on the debt that you created. I recently transfered my balance from my Capital One credit card because they were being completely unreasonable. It's ashame to because up till this incedient I really liked the company. I rarely had a late payment in the 9 years as a customer but that didn't seem to matter to them. I had a late payment on time and of course they penalize you for this with a huge late fee and increase your promotional interest rate to the highest rate possible. I understood the late payment but I felt the increase in the interest rate was not right. So I called them and asked them to lower my back down to the promotional rate I had previously. They actually surprised me and said that they would lower my rate back to the promotion. Well, they did lower part of my balance but the other part of the balance they kept the same high rate. So I called them again and asked why this happend. They told me there was "no way" to reduce that portions interest rate. I was really upset because it didn't make a bit of sense. I have plenty of offers for lower rate cards so I threaten to switch. I don't know if she thought I was bluffing or didn't care but they didn't do anything to lower my rate. So I switched and they no longer have my debt. Am not sure it really mattered to them but it felt good for me to leave the company. Apprently what I did is called a Churn. I don't know why it's called that, I will have to look that up.

Justin won the $500! Yeah for Justin. I wish it had been me but I guess I couldn't win for just collecting a few pieces and then not trying to put them together :o) Oh well, maybe next time.

Old World Gifts and Collectible

I think all boys dream of being a pirate, samurai or knight. At least these three are the top pick from a list of favorites for boys. My son would love it if I bought him a samurai sword or a model pirate ship. Of course I don't think I will be doing that any time soon since he is still young and could probably not keep himself from destroying something or hurting himself.
There is a website that has some of the best old world gifts and collectibles available. If money weren't an issue for us I would love to buy my son some of these collectibles and save them for when he is older. Any history buff will appreciate this site. The carry figurines, tapestries, steins, ship models from different eras. You can find ancient Greek, Viking, medieval collectibles. I don't think I have ever seen a site with such a large variety of old world collectibles.

MyBlogLog

Check out this site. It's really cool and I think it will (or maybe already has) catch on in the blogging community. Find out who visit's your blog and let your visitors see who visits your blog. MyBlogLog It's cool and free! Here is my page Mona's MyBlogLog. Apparently I am using a free trial of the pro version which offers stats of my readers. The pro version only costs $3.00 a month so I might consider upgrading. Me will see.

Puzzle Piece # 121

It's Sunday and I think Monday there will be a winner annouced. I don't know this for sure but that is what I am guessing. This is my last puzzle piece. I will not be posting anymore on this blog. Although I loved getting the $5 a post I am glad it's over. I couldn't pass up the $5 to post a few words and a small picture. But now that it is over I don't have to worry about it anymore. PayPerPost makes blog ads fun work.

Precious Metals

If you are interested in finding out about investing in precious metals you should check out monex.com. I have heard that it is important to diversify your investments. Purchasing gold is just one form of investing. I have also heard it's not wise to invest all your money in one area but to have a good variety of investments. So if you are thinking about purchasing gold or silver as an investment remember to put some of your money in other areas (Mutual Funds, Real Estate).
Monex Deposit Company has more information on investing in precious metals. They have been Americans precious metal investment leader for over 30 years.

The game is almost over. Al the puzzle piece have been released, I think. So now we just wait, wait and see who will be the lucky winner of $500. I wonder why the didn't pay $1000 like last time. This game seems a little harder then last time. So now we wait. I still love blog ads.

Direct Matches

I am not completely sure what this company is all about but I think it might be something worth learning more about. It has been described as a bussiness version of Myspace. It's a networking community that brings business people together. It sounds kind of like Ryze but is set up more like Myspace. The difference with DirectMatches is that you can earn money. I am still looking into this but here is what the web site says about this company.

DirectMatches.com is an innovative system for meeting people. The inventive combination of person-to-person marketing along with our original concept of a social and business network produces a new kind of service. Driven by a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, the company markets a broad range of highly developed matchmaking technologies.

DirectMatches is the first in the online business and social networking industry to deploy a multi-matchmaking system that helps people locate everything from business contacts to finding friendship and dates online. It is the first business and social networking service with a contact management system that operates on a "dynamic basis", where members are able to select from dedicated networking communities.

Puzzle Piece #52

I wonder why PPP decided to call this project the blue monster. I guess we will soon find out. The first person that assembles all the pieces and posts in on their blog will get $500. Since we can rule out that I will be the winner I wonder who it will be. hmmmm. I loveblog ads!

Incredimail

I was using the Incredimail email software for a long time but just recently was having some problems with it. The only problem is not everyone can view the emails they way you set them up. A lot of people just get an attachment sent with their email if I send them a email with a background or smilie.
They still have a lot of fun things to work with and if I wasn't having problems I would probably switch back.

Puzzle Piece #64

Not sure how many more puzzle pieces I will take. Tomorrow might be the big day. We will see who is the lucky winner. I will be kind of glad when this is all over. I am beginning to see puzzle pieces in my sleep. Why do I keep posting them? Because it's really easy money. PayPerPost makes blog ads really fun!

I know this may seem like a silly review but I really liked this movie. I bought this movie for my baby daughter and I think she really likes it. One of her favorite things is to play with animals. So watching these cute characters on the screen is a lot of fun for here.

Puzzle Piece #44

There are going to be 192 puzzle pieces released before this game is over. I am not sure how many have already been realease but I can tell the Posties are getting anxious. I think they will have all pieces release by Sunday. I wonder who will win. It won't be me because I decided it was too much work. I probably wouldn't win anyway.
Can you say "blog marketing"?

Wildblue Satellite Internet

I am trying to find out which Internet service to go with. I have the choice of a local company that offers wireless Internet or a satellite Internet company. They don't offer DSL or Cable where I like so those options are out. I really don't know much about satellite or wireless so I am having a hard time deciding.
As far as the satellite goes, the two companies I found are HughesNet and wildblue. HughesNet is more expensive than wildblue. The installation is about $200 more. HughesNet also cost more monthly. I am thinking we might go with wildblue satellite but I am still unsure. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Puzzle Piece # 171

I going to keep doing this until they tell me to stop. I like getting paid easy money. PayPerPost is so cool. I wish people against paid blogging would realize it's potential. So many people seem to think there is something evil about paid blogging. Yes there are people out there that will take opps that don't really interest them but for the most part I think the PPP Posties are taking opps that interest them so what is the harm? I don't know, I think maybe some people just want to have something to complain about. And the others just want someone to tell them what to complain about. Blog marketing is cool!

Wordpress Themes

I know this is not wordpress but I am actually started some blogs on wordpress so I have been looking for nice themes. There seem to be the same ones I keep finding but they are nice. Wordpress is probably the easiest blog software to work with. My new blog, Budget Your Money has a real creative theme. I have picked a number of themes I really like from Wpthemes.info. There are also many site that sell themes. They are very nice but I think I will stick to the free ones for now. I'm on a budget you know :o).

Puzzle Piece # 147

I hope it's ok that I take more than one puzzle piece a day. FYI, this is a contest that PayPerPost is having for all the Posties to try and figure out. They are paying $5 to post these puzzle pieces. You can also have a chance at $500 if you find all the puzzle pieces and post it on your blog first. I have given up the search. I am no good at these kind of games. So I am just going to take my $5 :o).
See how blog marketing works!

I understand joint pain can be very painful. I don't have joint pain yet but I expect it as part of getting older. My grandmother has bad arthritis in her hands. I can see that it does give her a lot of pain from time to time. I am trying to keep myself health so I don't develop arthritis. I am not even sure I can prevent it. I know glucosamine is great for rebuilding damaged cartilage. My daughters horse was actually taking a joint pain supplement with glucosamine in it. That is how I know glucosamine is good for joints.
There is a join supplement for human suffers that claims to help ease joint pain. It's called Synotrex and it also has glucosamine in it. The other ingredients I am not familiar with but I am sure it is beneficial to joint pain suffers. If you suffer from joint pain there is a chance this product could be the answer. Visit http://www.synotrex.com to find out more information.

Voice Quilt - I love this idea.

Are you into giving unique gifts for special friend or family member. I am one of those people that just loves to find unique gifts. I especially like to do this for weddings or baby showers. I once decorated a baby bathtub into a boat with sails and everything. My friend really liked that gift.
A VoiceQuilt is another very unique gift idea. It's a personalized gift with voice messages. Basically you have a number of people call a special number that records your message. After all the messages are taken VoiceQuilts puts the recorded messages into a jewelry box.
I would love to give one of these boxes to my mom and grandma. I really think something like this would touch them. My mom doesn't live close to her kids or grand kids and being able to hear their voice when ever she wants would be a special thing to her. I know my grandmother would also like a gift like this.
Maybe I have my Christmas gifts already picked out.

The Morning Energizer - Recipe

Do you need to be energized in the morning and don't want to head straight to the coffee? I found this recipe on RecipeLink.com that I thought might be interesting to try. That is if you like Beets! I don't know I can't seem to get myself to like the taste of beets in a drink. But according to Recipelink.com this is a great energy drink. Maybe I will try it.... or maybe I won't.

The Morning Energizer
Recipe from: The Juice Lady's Juicing for High Level Wellness and Vibrant Good Looks
by Cherie Calbom, M.S., C.NN
Cookbook Heaven at Recipelink.com

Nutrisip: Beet juice is excellent to break the fast of the night before and cleanse the liver; beets have been used naturopathically to cleanse and support the liver for many years. Rich in vitamins and minerals that include beta carotene, zinc, vitamin C, and chromium (from the apple), it is no wonder this drink is especially energizing.

Makes 12 to 14 ounces

1/2 Golden or Red Delicious organic apple, washed

5 medium carrots, scrubbed well, tops removed, ends trimmed

1/2 small beet with leaves and stems, scrubbed well

1/2 lemon, washed or peeled if not organic

1/2- to 1-inch piece ginger root, washed

Cut the apple into sections to fit your juicer's feed tube. Juice the apple with the carrots, beet, lemon, and ginger. Stir the juice and pour into a glass. Serve at room temperature or chilled, as desired.

Real Estate in Reverse

This is a great idea. BuyerHunt.com is a like a reverse MLS. Buyers decide what they are willing to buy and sellers can search for them. The MLS is the most commonly used form of search by Realtors but now a buyer can set up their own profile describing the home they are looking for and wait for a seller to contact them. I love new ideas. I think this type of search has a good chance of taking off. I do believe that it may be hard for people to take advantage of this good service because the MLS has been the way its been done for so long. It may be time for the MLS to try some new moves. Check out BuyerHunt - Real Estate in Reverse and try it out yourself.
A few years ago when we were searching for property to build on I would have appreciated a service like this. Just imagine being able have the sellers finding you based on the buying information you entered in your profile. I really like this idea. I don't plan on buying/selling any time soon but it is definitely a service I can recommend to friends and family.

The osCommerce Cafe - osCommerce Templates

The osCommerce cafe website is probably one of my favorite reviews. I have done a lot of reviews of websites few last months and it is not often I find sites that have good navigation, a clean look and a artistic style. The osCommerce cafe not only has these three features but also is making it possible for others to create quality sites as well.
As a consumer I find websites that make me feel comfortable and that can be navigated easily the best on the net. It should be every website owners desire to give their customers and visitors a feeling of confidence. I believe much of this confidence come with good web design. I feel this especially important for websites that sell products or services.
Imagine walking into a physical store that had merchandise laying all over the floor in no particular order, no employees at the cash registers and huge neon light flashing “sale, sale”. Does this picture give you confidence that this store is a great place to shop? Yet, I see these types of websites all the time. I think if more people realized the importance of “customer confidence” they would have much better sales.
Members of The osCommerce cafe have full access to a number of templates that are of very high quality. The templates they offer are designed to be fully functional and requiring you to only to add your logo, images and text. If you are a web designer who needs access to multiple high quality designs but don’t want to spend large amounts of money for each template than the osCommerce CafĂ© may be your answer.
If you are thinking about starting an online store or already have one that needs improvement, I highly recommend you visit this site. A membership fee of $89 will give you three months access to some of the best templates I have seen on the net.

You can also become a Cha Cha guide and get paid. Still looking into the details on that. I will keep you posted.

Web site Screenshots

Have you wondered how I get the web site screenshots on my blog? It's really easy. If you have a PC all you have to do is have the page you want to take a screenshot of up and situated the way you want it. You will be taking a picture of the actually screen so if you want the site to be scrolled to the top or bottom you will need to do so before you take the screenshot.
Once you have everything the way you want it you look on your keyboard for button that say Print Screen. Now press the button. At this point I am not sure what most people do but I open a blank Publisher page and then right click and press paste. After my screenshot is in the Publisher file I edit it from there. After you are done editing this picture you need to right click on it again and press save as. I always save my as a jpg. They seem to turn out better.
I know there may be an easier way to do this but I have figured out how to do just about everything in my Publisher program.

Invent-Tech

My father was one of those people that always had a great idea (or so he thought) or invention. My childhood memories include him making his inventions in the kitchen oven making the house smell like... I don't know what. I don't really know if his inventions where good and he was just bad at selling them or if I just believed they were good because he was my daddy. He never made any real money off of his inventions. He passed away a few years ago and was in the middle of developing some kind of cleaning product.
Some people (like my dad) really do have great inventions or ideas and just don't know what to do with their knowledge. Invent-Tech: Invention Patent Help for Inventors can help. Invent-Tech has a unique proprietary invention licensing approach. They have a proven new methodology that has secured a number of licensing agreements for individual inventors from manufacturers and marketing companies. If have an invetion and would like to find patent help visit Invent-Tech.
